Pinole Hercules Little League (PHLL) is an all-volunteer league. Aside from the youth umpiring program and outside vendors, no one is paid for their time and efforts in making sure the League is successful. PHLL asks you to be an active participant and a positive role model by doing your share to help make this season a success.
The success of PHLL depends on the many volunteers who donate their time to help keep PHLL an effective community organization. We require each family to volunteer service time.
Opportunities to fulfill your volunteer service requirements and to sign up for volunteer service at time of player online registration and will also be communicated by the Team Coordinator and Team Manager.
Additional volunteer opportunities may be posted throughout the season and will be available on a first come basis. Once you choose a task, it will be your responsibility to complete that task at the time required.
The PHLL Board is opened to considering additional activities to be counted as volunteer time to help in the operations of the League and other services that you can offer. Not all ideas will work for the League, but we are always interested in ideas from our members to help better the program and experience. Please direct ideas to [email protected]
Committing to be a Board member, team Coordinator, team Scorekeeper, team Manager or Coach will fulfill your volunteer service for the season. Other volunteer opportunities are assigned units and completion of 10 or more units will fulfill volunteer service for the season.
PHLL families pay a $100 per family volunteer deposit with registration. This money will be refunded back to you after the completion of the season if your volunteer service has been completely satisfied. Team Coordinators and Team Managers will work with league officials to track and record volunteer service units.
All volunteers with PHLL are required to submit a volunteer application and background check. This is a requirement of Little League International and PHLL. Background checks are required every year to assure safety of all our children. Volunteers not completing volunteer application and background check will not be allowed to volunteer in PHLL.
